lynn in love with vietnam: day 1

Hello friends! We have internet at our hotel, so hopefully I'll be able to chronicle our little adventure to the Motherland! We got in late last night in Saigon. Today we spent exploring the marketplace, absorbing all the sights and smells of vietnam. And I sure do mean smells! This place has such a unique scent id that I'm not used to... it's the smell of fruits in the sun, the damp sweat of all the people, and the exhaust coming from all the crazy moterbikes zipping through the roads. It's a little hot, but bearable (with my little battery-op fan)...we're having so much fun!

  1. Be sure to cross the street at a steady pace! Don't dart! As long as you walk calmly people will drive around you. It's actually kinda cool once you're not scared anymore. Like a ballet of mopeds. Hehe.
